Springfield's award winning Willamalane Park & Recreation District provides recreational programs and activities for people of all ages. Eugene's University of Oregon, a member of the PAC-10 athletic conference, provides a variety of sports events, frequently world-class, for everyone's entertainment during each season.

    The Springfield Museum is a highly recommended tourist stop. The Museum features the history of Springfield's timber industry, where the first logging mill opened in 1853.

    Located in a renovated Pacific Power & Light building that was built in 1908, the Museum has historical artifacts on the logging, agricultural and industrial heritage of Springfield, as well as a photo collection and a gallery of changing exhibits.
