Jackson Wyoming

The southern gateway to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, Jackson was once a featured destination in its own right. Although no longer in our highly recommended category in terms of destinations because of the heavy crowds, high prices and limited things to do at a reasonable cost(maybe our next trip there will be better), Jackson remains popular with those willing to deal with the crowds. For a similar outdoor experience, also consider Fairbanks, Alaska, or Bend, Oregon.
