Since Milwaukie is on the Willamette River and close to the Clackamas River and Columbia Rivers, water activities, camping, fishing and hiking are favorite things for visitors and residents to enjoy. Milwaukie is also quite close to Portland, and visitors can partake of all of Portland's amenities, while retaining the small town ambience by staying in Milwaukie.

Clackamas County Parks DepartmentLocated just off Hwy. 224, approximately 9.4 miles east of Clackamas and 9 miles west of Estacada on the Clackamas River. Barton Park has 44 RV suitable sites with electrical and water hookups, 14 tent sites with centralized water, dump station, showers, a children's play area and handicapped facilities. There are six reservable picnic areas that can accomodate groups of up to 1,000. Fishing for steelhead, trout and salmon is a favorite activity, as is rafting the Clackamas River's mild rapids.
Located approximately 3 miles north of Estacada and 18 miles east of Clackamas on Eagle Creek, this is one of the largest and most beautiful parks in the county. It is a great spot for picnicking or fishing for steelhead, Coho, Chinook salmon or trout. There is a baseball field, horseshoe area, volleyball court, play area and flush toilets. The covered picnic area can accomodate up to 300, and there are three other reservable picnic areas.
Located 3 miles southeast of Mollala on the Mollala River, this 27 acre park has three picnic areas, softball, volleyball, horseshoes and a children's play area. There are 20 RV sites with electrical and water hookups, and a dump station. There is also a boat ramp next to the Dickey Prairie Bridge on the Mollala River.
Located on the Willamette River just downstream from the historic Canby Ferry, Hebb Park is the place for all types of water activities. Built primarily as a boating facility, this park includes a boat launch and picnic areas.
Located approximately 5 miles south of Estacada on Tucker Road. Metzler Park has 46 RV sites with water and electrical hookups, 24 tent sites with centralized water, a dump station, showers, and flush toilets. There is also a children's play area, a beautiful nature trail, three large picnic areas, softball, volleyball, basketball and horseshoes.
